摘要

This study investigated the impact of psychological needs on employees’ enjoyment and volition at work, leading to employees’ intentions in digital workplace transformation. For this purpose, partial least squares – structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to assess survey data from 323 local government employees. The findings suggested that employee perceptions of psychological needs fulfillment positively affect workplace enjoyment and volition, which leads to great digital engagement. Digital engagement also assisted employees in promoting the local government’s digital workplace transformation. Furthermore, training and development programs were also vital in boosting the impact of digital engagement on employees’ digital workplace transformation intentions. Finally, theoretical and practical implications were proposed.
