摘要

This study aimed to identify factors associated with body dissatisfaction and sexual function in Peruvian jungle women. A total of 492 women aged 18–57 years (M = 29.2; SD = 8.26) were selected using non-probabilistic purposive sampling. The Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-14) and the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) were applied, and data were analyzed through multivariate Poisson regression with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results showed that 34.1% of the participants reported concerns about body image, while 79.1% experienced sexual dissatisfaction. Younger women reported greater problems related to desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, and pain. Higher educational attainment and physical inactivity were associated with increased body image concerns, and women without a partner reported more sexual function difficulties. Although women from the highlands and jungle reported fewer problems in body image perception and sexual function, the persistence of these concerns underscores the importance of coordinated actions among educational institutions, municipalities, and health and psychological services to improve women’s well-being.
