<p>Defant argues that feminist studies are unscholarly and politicized, evidence for which comes from their failure to incorporate the scholarly and objective claims and conclusions of evolutionary psychology. In this response, I show that Defant perpetrates serious misrepresentations and omissions, offers simplistic and partisan treatments of complex gendered phenomena, and advocates for an unjustified intellectual imperialism. I conclude that Defant’s article epitomizes the very failures of which he accuses feminist studies.</p>
