<p>Adolescent sexual minority males (ASMM) may use pornography for sexual pleasure, but limited research indicates what sexual identity or health information ASMM learn from pornography. Data are from the baseline survey of a 2020 online sexual health pilot intervention trial for cisgender ASMM (<i>N</i> = 154; aged 14–17; 70% White, 26% Latino/Hispanic; 53% gay). Participants reported characteristics of their online pornography viewing (closed-ended) and what they learned from watching online pornography (closed- and open-ended). Almost all participants reported watching pornography for sexual pleasure (90% wanted to orgasm at the time). The most endorsed topics participants reported learning were the sexual behaviors they are interested in trying (83%) and what type of partners they find attractive (73%). Qualitative responses revealed that pornography was a source of sex education (e.g., learning how to have sex) and sexual exploration (e.g., learning about sexual orientation, desires, and comfort). Some ASMM described the quality of pornography, including comments on realism, acting, and the broader industry. The findings suggest that pornography is a source of sexual pleasure, identity development, and education for ASMM. Incorporating pornography literacy into sex education programs may validate pornography as a source of identity exploration, while also challenge misinformation and misconceptions.</p>
