<p>Globalization leveraged ICT to revolutionize the world in unprecedented dimensions. Therefore, this article investigated how the application of technology in the areas of ICT paved the way for an efficient, effective, and convenient banking system that revamped the Nigerian economy. The findings revealed that the various reforms and policies brought to reposition the Nigerian banking system invariably enhanced the economy in swift response to the trends of globalization driven by ICT, which, without doing so, would have resulted in locking up Nigeria’s economy and shutting it out of the gains of the global liberal political economy driven by global capitalism.</p>

摘要
