<p>Point-of-care echocardiography (POCE) has transformed the bedside evaluation of critically ill children and neonates, enabling rapid assessment of cardiac function, hemodynamics, and structural abnormalities by the treating clinician. Unlike comprehensive echocardiography, POCE is designed to address focused clinical questions and guide time-sensitive management decisions in emergency departments and neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. This review provides an overview of the principles, performance, and interpretation of POCE.</p>
