<p>The emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) makes real-time monitoring possible. The Information-Centric Networking (ICN) standard presents an effective way to rapidly access data by enabling in-network caching, so we propose a hybrid data transmission system for information-centric IoT and aim to leverage ICN to achieve energy-efficient and rapid access to data for monitoring. The system learns forwarding information on caching providers and leverages the user registration mechanism to rapidly inform users of emergency information in a unicast way. Meanwhile, users exploit forwarding information on caching providers to share data from optimal caching providers simultaneously. The system is analyzed and evaluated to verify its advances.</p>
