摘要

Dirofilariasis is a rare zoonotic disease which is most commonly encountered in dogs. Its rarity and non-specific clinical presentation makes it difficult to diagnose in humans. A 39-year-old presented with subcutaneous dirofilariasis which was diagnosed only by histopathological examination of the aspirated material seen in a cheek swelling. To the best of our knowledge, there have not been any reported cases of subcutaneous Dirofilariasis in the head and neck region.
