<p>The petrosquamous sinus (PSS) is a rare and almost unknown emissary vein of the temporal bone. Only few cases have been reported in humans and that too by anatomists &amp; radiologists. We report the presence of persistent petrosquamous sinus in temporal bone of a 40 year female who presented with tinnitus, earache and ear discharge and resulted in severe venous hemorrhage from injured PSS while undergoing canal wall down mastoidectomy.</p>
