<p>Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) is a growing public health problem, leading to progressive loss of kidney function and affecting multiple organs. The disease and its treatments can result in complications; including a significantly greater incidence of sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) compared to the general population. Study was conducted at Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences, Mandya from January 2020 to December 2020. Patients diagnosed to have Chronic Renal Failure, attending dialysis unit were included in our study based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A specially designed proforma was used to collect detailed history with special emphasis on the co-morbid conditions, use of diuretics and ototoxic drugs and duration of hemodialysis. Patients were subjected to ENT examination and audiological evaluation. The WHO grading was used to measure the severity of hearing loss. The results were tabulated and analyzed. Out of 100 patients 59 were male and 41 were female patients with M: F ratio 1.4:1. 74% of patients were in the age group of 40–60 years. The prevalence of sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) was 57.5% (115 ears). Hearing loss at speech frequency (500–2000&#xa0;Hz) was noted in 35% of ears, while at 4000&#xa0;Hz was observed in 59.5% and further at 8000&#xa0;Hz was observed in 62%. SNHL was noted among the patients with disease duration (68.9%) and dialysis duration (73.1%) of 2-4&#xa0;years. Statistically significant relation was noted between the duration of illness, dialysis duration and SNHL. Moderate high-frequency SNHL is more common in CRF patients, particularly those on long-term dialysis and of older age, highlighting the need for regular hearing evaluations and comprehensive management.</p>
