Nodular Fasciitis of the Preauricular Area Masquerading as Pleomorphic Adenoma on Cytology: A Surgical Case Report
摘要
Benign spindle cell lesions of the head and neck region present significant diagnostic challenges due to their histological overlap with malignant tumours. This case report discusses a patient with a preauricular spindle cell lesion, focusing on the diagnostic process that guided the final benign classification. Clinical presentation, imaging, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry played critical roles in achieving a conclusive diagnosis and appropriate management.
