<p>Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a non-malignant lesion of the oral cavity. It is quite unusual. Clinically, it is more prevalent in the anterior mandible than the posterior mandible. We submit a case report of peripheral giant cell granuloma of the posterior mandible in a 60-year-old male who complained of growth over the lower alveolar ridge for 6 months. The lesion was completely excised, the underlying bone was curetted, and the defect was repaired with the surrounding mucosa.Giant cell granuloma of the peripheral type is rarely reported over the posterior mandible. Though uncommon, it should be surgically excised and kept as a differential diagnosis.</p>
