<p>Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) in children presents significant challenges due to its varied pathophysiology and clinical manifestations. Understanding the microbiological factors associated with CRS is crucial for effective management. This study aimed to study the aerobic bacterial profiles in adenoid core tissue and middle meatal discharge among children with CRS. A total of 29 children undergoing adenoidectomy for CRS were included in this prospective study. Adenoid core tissue and middle meatal swab were obtained intraoperatively and cultured using standard microbiological techniques. Aerobic bacterial growth patterns were analyzed and compared between the two sites. Viridans streptococci predominated in adenoid core cultures, while coagulase-negative Staphylococcus species and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus were most frequently isolated from middle meatal cultures. Dissimilarities were observed in the bacterial profiles between adenoid core tissue and middle meatal discharge. This study highlights distinct aerobic bacterial profiles in adenoid core tissue and middle meatal discharge in children with CRS. These findings need further research to elucidate the role of microbiota in pediatric CRS pathogenesis and to explore targeted therapeutic strategies based on bacterial profiles.</p>
