<p>Nasogastric tube (NGT) insertion is a common procedure in paediatric clinical practice, primarily performed for enteral nutrition, drug administration, and gastric decompression. Although typically performed using a blind technique, its success can be compromised by anatomical abnormalities or underlying congenital conditions. While generally considered straightforward, improper placement of the tube may lead to severe complications. Misplacement into the airway, for instance, followed by feeding or medication administration, can result in catastrophic outcomes, including aspiration pneumonia, if not promptly identified.</p>
