摘要

Castleman’s disease is an uncommon lymphoproliferative disorder characterized by enlarged hyperplastic lymph nodes. The head and neck region is involved in 14% and between those 85% are occurring in the neck. However, parotid gland involvement is rarely reported. In the case report, a 20 year old female with no known co-morbities presented with complains of swelling in the left side of the cheek for the past one year. An initial Fine needle aspiration showed features suggestive of tubercular lymphadenitis. The patient was started on Antitubercular drugs, to return back with a persistent swelling despite 6 months of therapy. She underwent surgical excision of the swelling. Histopathological examination confirmed the pathology as Castleman’s disease. This paper reports a rare case of unicentric Castleman’s disease of the left parotid gland and underwent surgical excision and is on regular follow up.
