摘要

The association between autoimmune diseases and sensorineural hearing loss, alongside vestibular disorders such as vertigo, has garnered increasing interest recently. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, a prevalent autoimmune disorder, has been frequently implicated in these auditory and vestibular manifestations. This case report presents a patient diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis who subsequently developed sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus. Following the management of their thyroid condition, the patient’s symptoms resolved, further substantiating the hypothesis that autoimmune mechanisms may play a significant role in the pathogenesis of inner ear disorders. This case also highlights the bilateral involvement of the vestibular system, emphasizing the systemic nature of autoimmune inner ear disease. the findings of this case underscore the importance of considering autoimmune conditions in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with unexplained hearing loss and vestibular symptoms.
