It often starts as a painless swelling but can lead to complications like perichondritis and cauliflower ear if untreated. Prompt surgical management is crucial to prevent these outcomes. This article introduces a novel technique using customized IV set tubing grommets for drainage, based on 12 years of clinical experience with 45 cases.</p> Objective <p>To describe a simple, cost-effective, and reproducible technique for the management of pseudocyst of the pinna using customised grommets fashioned from intravenous (IV) tubing.</p> Methods <p>A retrospective analysis of 45 male patients with pseudocyst of the pinna treated between 2012 and 2024 using a novel drainage method involving IV tube grommets. The technique involves local anaesthesia, incision, drainage of serous fluid, insertion of a customised pre-sterilised IV tube grommet, and postoperative dressing.</p> Results <p>All patients had rapid resolution of fluid collection, excellent skin approximation, restored vascularity, and no recurrence. No complications such as perichondritis or scarring were noted.</p> Conclusion <p>The technique described is a simple, effective, and economical alternative to traditional methods for managing auricular pseudocyst, suitable for use in resource-limited settings.</p>

Objective
