摘要

Intubation with an endotracheal tube is one of the most effective methods to ensure the continuity of the airway and to continue life in patients in need. Proper application and adequate follow-up help ensure more effective and complication-free treatment. Despite this, this method has many complications. Complications create additional problems to the main disease and some complications are serious enough to be life-threatening. One of the reasons for complications is that the pressure created by the incorrect adjustment of the cuff pressure causes damages ranging from edema to rupture in the region. Damage to adjacent main vascular structures can even result in death. In this case report, a complication that occurs due to prolonged intubation and long-term overinflation due to unpredictable cuff pressure, resulting in a distinct midline neck mass appearance, and the management of this condition is described.
