摘要

The Chinese government initiated a “high-quality development” strategy in 2017 to synchronise economic efficiency with green growth. For small- and medium-sized auxiliary material manufacturing enterprises (SMAMMEs), strengthening market adaptability and resource integration capabilities is crucial to this objective. This study examines the ambidexterity of six SMAMMEs and employs grounded theory to establish a high-quality development mechanism model. It identifies nine differential factors between high- and nonhigh-quality development in SMAMMEs: sales systems, construction services, digital training, school–enterprise cooperation, internal logistics teams, in-depth logistics cooperation, screening tests, ability training, and employee transformation. Furthermore, the results of this study reveal that these nine factors are correlated with different ambidexterity types, collectively driving high-quality development. By dissecting how ambidexterity serves multifaceted goals—such as green transition, quality upgrading, and organisational restructuring—this study provides SMAMMEs with pragmatic capacity-building pathways.
