摘要

In social work, there is still a tendency to neglect the importance of the body. The body can be understood as an omnipresent medium of perception, body presentations are central forms of expression for (not only) young people, and personality development is always accompanied by bodily experiences. Nevertheless, the body becomes a topic in the field of social work when it is perceived as dysfunctional—for example, as an obese body, a self-harming body, or an ill body. We aim to highlight the importance of incorporating and reflecting on the body in social work.
