摘要

In times of profound, crisis-induced global and national transformation processes, right-wing nationalist worldviews and political offerings are finding increasing resonance not only in German society. This also challenges social work with its guiding principles of social justice, respect for human dignity, defence of human rights, participation, and solidarity. Over the past 30 years, there have been considerable professional developments and differentiations to tackle right-wing extremism and right-wing nationalist phenomena. Federal programmes for democracy and against group-focused enmity played an important role in this. The article shows, how these programmes contribute to individual and social resilience against right-wing nationalist solutions to social problems and sketches existing challenges for social work.
