<p>The following article provides insights into findings from research in 2024 in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia on the situation of professionals in public youth welfare offices (ASD). Beneath organizational and structural aspects, experiences and perceptions of social work professionals in the context of current problematic developments as well as reports on efforts with regard to coping with the challenging situation and recruiting and retaining staff are addressed.</p>
