<p>With the legal entitlement to all-day support for children of primary school age, questions about the relationship between child and youth services and schools are becoming more topical. Readjustments are becoming recognisable, for example, with regard to the structural level of management in the municipalities, as well as at the level of professional organisation, but also with regard to central perspectives and demands in terms of educational equity and child protection. The articles in this special issue deal with the sometimes contradictory requirements that need to be addressed by child and youth welfare services.</p>
