This article reflects on the concept of a&#xa0;case within the framework of social space-oriented social work in the field of neighborhood development. The term “case” is differentiated from “individual case,” the latter referring to the individual support of persons or families. A&#xa0;social work case is described as a&#xa0;situation that falls within the domain of social work and raises the question of how to proceed. In the context of socio-spatial work in the field of neighborhood development, the article explores how territories, such as city districts or neighborhoods, become cases for social work.</p>
