Was wissen wir über die Lebenslagen in Deutschland?
摘要
The German Government has presented six Poverty and Wealth Reports so far. They were compiled by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs with the involvement of an advisory group and a panel of scientific experts. Without exception, these very comprehensive documents contain numerous data and statistics on the development of poverty, whereas wealth has been treated rather neglected until recently. All reports are dominated by a trivialisation of poverty and a concealment of wealth. The reports are driven by the desire of various federal governments to present their own policies as successful, instead of openly naming social and socio-economic inequality as a cardinal problem of our society, analysing the causes of the widening gap between rich and poor and considering suitable solutions.
