Außerschulische Bildungsförderung im Kontext eines Fußballvereins
摘要
In the football and educational landscape of Germany, long-term extracurricular educational support for young people from low-resource backgrounds initiated by a professional football club is the exception rather than the rule. This article will first examine the question of which different approaches to social work and educational support have emerged in the context of football clubs since the 1970s. Subsequently, important results of a qualitative study are presented, in which the institutional framework conditions and co-operation relationships as well as the biographical consequences of a model project for educational support were examined. The project is located in the environment of the traditional club Rot-Weiss-Essen. The difficult co-operative relationships between non-school and school educators and the generally quite successful educational careers of the young people involved are shown.
