The media coverage of German amateur football is sometimes accompanied by game interruptions due to escalating violence, in which young people with a migration background are often involved. Sometimes there are ethnic stigmatizations, although the causes for this are more complex and multifaceted. To provide insight into deep-seated causes, individual and societal processes are discussed in the following article and focused on the topic, in how far they affect those involved. In this context, the possible prevention measures that can be introduced are also discussed.
