Mit Sportsozialarbeit gegen Gewalt im Amateurfußball!?

In violent clashes on football pitches of amateur clubs between players and against referees with the participation of spectators, those involved with international family history—especially those of Muslim faith—are often the focus. In contrast to the dominant narrative of a supposed “unwillingness” of immigrant minorities to integrate, the article analyzes the football game from a (post)migrant perspective as a battle arena to compensate for the lack of social recognition of discriminated allochthonous young people. A few of them react to their marginalization with violence if necessary as an opportunity to experience self-efficacy due to a lack of alternative, socially positively valued skills. The causes and prevention requirements for verbal and physical aggression in amateur football outlined in this introduction to the main topic will be examined in more detail in the following articles.
