Fachlichkeit und Professionalisierung des Personals in der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe

The results of the child and youth welfare statistics show that the qualification structure in child and youth welfare has remained stable despite an enormous increase in personnel over the past 15 years. Based on the most recent projections, it is already foreseeable today that there will continue to be a high shortage of skilled workers in western Germany in the coming decade. For around ten years now, there have been repeated reforms to training courses in order to attract more people interested in training, and most recently the majority of federal states have responded by opening up their specialist catalogs in the field of early education in order to attract additional staff. Although these measures help to reduce the shortage of skilled workers, they also harbor various dangers and risks.
