Das Kinderschutzsystem in Finnland

Child protection in Finland is mainly provided by public authorities and is structurally organized in 21 wellbeing services counties. In this system, social workers have a central role as civil servants combined with the exercise of strong public power in child welfare issues. Politicians and professional associations are currently striving to further strengthen the profession and the professionals of social work on the structural and professional level and thereby contribute to solving the challenges.
