<p>This communication presents the design and implementation of the quad-port novel UWB MIMO antenna. The antenna has a notched band characteristic at 3.3–3.8 GHz WiMAX band. The system has a compact volume of 40 x 40 x 1.6 mm<sup>3</sup>. It has a simple circular ring structure and provides high isolation (minimum 18 dB and average 22dB) between antenna elements. It has a bandwidth of 8.1 GHz, between 2.5–10.6 GHz. The general metrics used for performance analyses, including gain, radiation efficiency and patterns, envelope correlation coefficient, and diversity gain are examined. It has a gain value between 2 and 4.5 dBi in the working band range and a minimum efficiency value of 84%. In addition to this, the system has a low ECC value. The obtained experimental results support the simulations, proving that the MIMO system works efficiently on the entire working band.</p>
