摘要

This study aimed to investigate the effect of the presence and circulation of water on asphalt mixture performance. In this study, Indirect Tensile Tests were conducted on unconditioned and conditioned samples in the dry, immersion, and water circulation modes under dynamic loading at the frequency of 0.5 and 2 Hz at the temperatures of 10 and 40°C. The findings indicated that the moisture damage resistance of the samples was more affected by their conditioning than by the mode of testing. Moreover, the water circulation had a greater impact on the results compared to the other testing modes. According to the test results, it was noted that the performance of asphalt mixtures was negatively impacted to a greater extent by the high temperature of 40°C. Also, the impact of pumping and hydraulic scouring is more significant at low temperatures than the high temperatures.
