摘要

This article presents a simple, low-cost method to determine the molar conductance of strong electrolytes at infinite dilution using a potato electrochemical cell (PEC). Usually, at the college level, the experiment involves sophisticated equipment to measure the molar conductance at various concentrations and determine the limiting molar conductance (Λ m 0 ) at infinite dilution. The results obtained using the PEC as a DC source in the current range of microamperes are close to the standard values, establishing the efficacy of this low-cost method, which can be introduced as an alternative method for college as well as senior secondary school students to verify the associated concept in a simple and easy manner.
