Max Born and Canonical Commutation Relation

Although the fundamental breakthrough in the formulation of modern quantum mechanics came from Heisenberg, the robust and mathematically rigorous formulation of matrix mechanics was given by Max Born and Pascual Jordan. In the present article, the author discusses the contributions of Max Born in the context of the formulation of matrix mechanics.
