Effect of low-temperature electric field treatment on morphology of polymer blends
摘要
We investigated the impact of electric field treatment on the structural and morphological characteristics of polymer blends at low temperatures. The chosen polymer blend exhibited distinct properties, and electric field treatment was employed as a novel approach to modify their structure at low temperatures. We fabricated single-layer devices of pristine and blend polymers to observe the structural and morphological changes under low-temperature electric field treatment. Devices were examined for their structural characterization by means of atomic force microscopy (AFM). Preliminary results indicated that the electric field treatment induces noticeable alignment of domains in the polymer blend structure at low temperatures, leading to enhanced compatibility and intermolecular interactions. This study contributes to the fundamental understanding of the interactions between electric fields and polymer blends, paving the way for the design of novel materials with enhanced performance in various technological applications.
