Performance and application of carbon-fiber hybrid composites: A review
摘要
Carbon fiber is a kind of high-performance fiber with high strength and high modulus, and is often used as a reinforcement of polymers to prepare carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP). But the disadvantage of low toughness limits the application of CFRP. Combining carbon fiber and other materials to prepare hybrid composite materials is an effective way to solve this problem, which has received a lot of attention from many scholars. The characteristics of high strength and toughness make carbon fiber hybrid composite widely used in many fields such as wind turbine blades, aerospace and automobiles. The factors affecting the performance of carbon fiber hybrid composite are various and necessary for research. Therefore, this review summarizes the performance characteristics of carbon fiber hybrid composites prepared by different reinforcement combinations, hybrid configurations, fiber ratios, stacking sequences, fiber orientations and dispersion. The excellent performance in a wide range of applications makes them a promising high-performance composite material.
