摘要

This research addresses the critical challenge of promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns in the manufacturing industry. Remanufacturing, a promising strategy for environmental sustainability, faces significant barriers due to consumer concerns about the quality and reliability of remanufactured products. To overcome these challenges, this study develops a Warranty Policy Decision Support System (WPDSS) that evaluates various warranty strategies to optimize consumer satisfaction and manufacturer costs. The WPDSS analyzes three primary warranty types: Free Replacement Warranty, Pro-Rata Warranty, and hybrid combinations. By considering factors such as product complexity, component reliability, and consumer preferences, the WPDSS identifies optimal warranty policies that balance consumer confidence with manufacturer profitability. A case study involving remanufactured electronic products demonstrates the practical application of the WPDSS, highlighting its potential to enhance product acceptance and drive sustainable manufacturing practices. The findings of this research contribute to a more sustainable and circular economy by providing valuable insights into the effective implementation of warranty policies for remanufactured products. By addressing consumer concerns and optimizing warranty strategies, manufacturers can significantly increase the market penetration of remanufactured goods, reduce waste, and promote a more environmentally responsible approach to production and consumption.
