摘要

Additive manufacturing involves creating parts by adding material layer by layer. This technology enables the production of a wide range of complex products that are impossible to manufacture using conventional methods. Various 3D printing technologies have been developed, and ongoing research aims to improve these methods. Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing also requires enhancements. Due to the lack of tool path generation software for pellet-based printing, this technology is less commonly used compared to filament-based 3D printing. To address these challenges, MATLAB code and its graphical user interface (GUI) have been developed for both types of printing. This approach aids in comprehending both processes scientifically, as each demands distinct setups and process parameters. For instance, pellet-based AM processes necessitate considerations like RPM, unlike filament-based AM processes. To improve the strength and quality of the built part, variations in raster angle and offset number are introduced. By generating an appropriate tool path and selecting suitable printing parameters, it is possible to manufacture the desired product with reduced cost and time.
