摘要

Purpose of Review

This review provides a comprehensive evaluation of new therapeutic options in treating atrial fibrillation in heart failure.

Recent Findings

The foundation of atrial fibrillation in heart failure management involves a guideline-directed and patient-centered approach. There has been a growing appreciation of the importance of aggressive rhythm control in this population and noteworthy progress in AF ablation, including conventional methods and pulse field ablation. Additionally, advancements in conduction system pacing have shown promise in improving left ventricular systolic dysfunction.

Summary

Outcomes tend to be unfavorable when atrial fibrillation accompanies heart failure. Effective management strategies for atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure have served as a linchpin in improving patient outcomes. Pharmacologic therapies have been the mainstay for managing patients with atrial fibrillation and heart failure. However recent studies of early intervention with catheter ablation have shown particularly pronounced improvements in outcomes in patients with AF and HF.
