摘要

Purpose

To provide an overview on Eosinophilic, Ketamine-induced cystitis (KIC), Follicular cystitis, Cystitis cystica, Glandular cystitis, Virus-induced cystitis (VIC) and Radiation cystitis (RC), and to present the most recent insights.

Recent Findings

France and UK developed a KIC guideline, the Italian pediatric hematology oncology society a VIC guideline and a Dutch-German group a RC guideline. The impact of these guidelines on management outcomes has yet to be assessed. Furthermore, viral-specific T-cells to treat BK-VIC showed promise in a meta-analysis. Finally, long-term outcomes of a randomized-controlled trial on hyperbaric oxygen for RC demonstrated its potential for recurrence prevention. Knowledge on other inflammatory bladder diseases has slowed down over most recent years.

Summary

Literature in recent years has focused on clinical guideline development, meta-analyses and long-term outcomes of trials for KIC, VIC and RC. Research on novel approaches and on other inflammatory bladder diseases was limited and needs renewed attention.
