A Narrative Review on One-Dimensional TiO2 Nanotubes: its Efficacy and Application in the Level of self-ordered Nanostructures

Nanotechnology has rapidly emerged as a key domain in contemporary scientific research, offering transformative potential across a wide range of disciplines. Over the past decade, nanotubular titania (TNT) has garnered significant interest due to its unique and advantageous properties compared to other nanostructures. The TNT has demonstrated promise in diverse applications ranging from photocatalysis to cutting-edge biomedical research. In this narrative review, the holistic analysis of TNT preparation, level of anodization, and its efficacy in the formation of self-ordered structures are discussed in detail. These findings have confirmed that the rapid advancement of technology has led to the growing demand for innovative biomedical materials, devices, CO2 reduction and photocatalysis. In this context, the outcome analysis has confirmed its synthesis strategies, formation mechanisms, and biomedical applications of TNT, highlighting its relevance in modern nanomaterials science. Besides, the TNT can be used as an efficient photocatalyst for the degradation of organic pollutant and the photoreduction of CO2. Thus, the exploration in the field of TNT has paved a way for therapeutic application in the field of biomedical applications as well as carbon neutral technology.
