Geological Structural Characteristics of Subashi in West Kunlun Revealed by Aero Geophysical and Remote Sensing Data
摘要
The West Kunlun Orogenic Belt is located on the northwest edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau in China and is an important component of the “Central Orogenic Belt”. Its regional geological conditions are complex, with strong tectonic movements, frequent magmatic activity, and superior mineralization conditions. For a considerable period, the West Kunlun Orogenic Belt, situated in the high-altitude and hypoxic regions of the Central Asian hinterland, has encountered immense challenges in conducting field geological surveys owing to its harsh natural conditions and severely limited transportation access. Consequently, there exist numerous unsurveyed areas in the 1:50,000 regional geological survey, contributing to a generally low level of overall research. This study fully leverages the advantages and pioneering role of aero geophysical and remote sensing technologies in conducting the first 1:50,000 regional basic geological research in Subashi of the West Kunlun. We rapidly inferred and interpreted the regional tectonics, stratigraphic lithology, and distribution characteristics of magmatic rocks, eff ectively elucidating fundamental geological issues such as lithological-fault structures in the study area. The results meticulously revealed the material composition of geological units and newly compiled interpreted geological maps for four standard 1:50,000 map sheets, providing foundational data for further investigations into regional deep-seated structures, material composition, and subterranean processes. These achievements fill the gap in 1:50,000 regional geological surveys in Subashi of the West Kunlun and offer crucial support for China's efforts to rapidly bridge gaps in 1:50,000 regional geological survey coverage.
