Elektrokonvulsionstherapie (EKT) als Zwangsmaßnahme: Rechtslage in der Schweiz

This article examines the civil and criminal law provisions in Switzerland governing the compulsory administration of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) to individuals who lack legal capacity. The analysis shows that according to current case law, a forced ECT could be deemed permissible depending on the circumstances, although definitive guidelines from the highest court have yet to be established.
