Herausforderungen in der Behandlung von Rechtsbrechern mit Erkrankungen aus dem schizophrenen Formenkreis in der forensisch therapeutischen Nachsorge
摘要
Outpatient follow-up treatment of former offenders with schizophrenia takes place within the legal framework of supervision orders, guided by the dual mandate of therapy and control. This extends well beyond the mere provision of antipsychotic medication. The maintenance of treatment adherence in people with schizophrenia spectrum disorders requires careful attention to social conditions, everyday life within the network of forensic aftercare, the management of illness-related deficits and potential undesirable application effects, all of which must be addressed with patients and, where relevant, their relatives. Comorbidities, such as substance use disorders, demand particular consideration in the planning and delivery of aftercare. Social psychiatric support services become increasingly more important the more residual and chronic the illness course proves to be. This article outlines the procedures of this especially intensive form of outpatient aftercare and examines the effectiveness of the applied measures in a high-risk client group, illustrated through recidivism rates compared to a matched control group.
