摘要

Inpatient therapeutic measures in accordance with Art. 59 of the Swiss Criminal Code (StGB) primarily serve to reduce a person’s risk of reoffending, whereby the connection between a serious mental disorder and the underlying offense is a prerequisite. The Swiss Society of Forensic Psychiatry (SGFP) set up an interprofessional working group with specialists from the fields of forensic psychiatry, psychology and law to draw up recommendations for all professionals involved in the implementation of inpatient therapeutic measures in forensic psychiatric clinics. The recommendations are intended to provide an overview of the general conditions of detention and describe the treatment elements required to achieve the objectives of the measures. In addition to legal conditions, structural principles, disorder- and context-specific treatment characteristics, aspects of risk assessment and treatment planning are addressed. Considerations on proof of effectiveness, the outlook and the formulation of open questions conclude the recommendations, which aim to standardize treatment conditions and provide professionally substantiated orientation.
