<p>Domestic violence not only causes immense suffering for the people affected but also represents a&#xa0;sociopolitical problem because it generates counterviolence in the broadest sense. Children and adolescents who are affected by parental couple violence not only have a greater risk of becoming victims of violence themselves but also have a higher risk to become violent themselves. The consequences are sometimes still felt years later. In order to break this vicious circle violence prevention is needed on a&#xa0;wide variety of levels. To achieve this, all professionals involved in the case must stand together and become sensitized to the forms, effects and consequences of domestic violence. The contribution of threat management is, among other things, to support the experts in risk assessment and to impart knowledge.</p>
