摘要

In this study, three new species of Piezocera are described and illustrated. New records are provided for two species, and for the first time, we implemented potential distribution modeling of the species in Piezocera. We described Piezocera insulcata sp. n. and Piezocera igii sp. n. from Brazil and Piezocera superficialis sp. n. from Bolivia. South America exhibits the biggest species richness within the genus and the consensus map from the potential distribution modeling for Piezocera shows that almost the entire extent of South America is suitable for the genus, except for the Andes region and most of Argentina.
