摘要

The period from 2020 to 2025 has witnessed a paradigm shift in orthopedic surgery, characterized by the rapid integration of robotic-assisted technologies into total knee arthroplasty (TKA). This review article synthesizes the current literature to elucidate global adoption trends, demonstrating that robotic-assisted TKA (RA-TKA) has evolved from a niche innovation to a mainstream surgical approach. Driven by a growing body of evidence demonstrating improvements in surgical precision, early patient recovery, and potential long-term implant durability, adoption rates have surged worldwide. However, this growth is markedly heterogeneous, with North America leading in utilization, Europe and parts of the Asia-Pacific region experiencing accelerated growth, and other regions navigating significant financial and regulatory headwinds. This review critically examines the clinical, economic, and market drivers propelling this adoption, as well as the persistent barriers of high capital investment, learning curves, and infrastructural requirements. By contextualizing these trends with data from market analyses and clinical studies, this article provides a holistic overview of the global trajectory and future directions, concluding that RA-TKA is poised to become the dominant technique in many markets by the end of the decade.
