摘要

Nowadays, dye pigment materials with glowing features are used, especially in some ornaments and various furniture and home decorations. In addition, such materials are used in various warning signs to warn people by glowing at night. These materials can be synthesized as inorganic or organic. Although such materials are commercially available and can be purchased, the amount of molecules or elements they contain and their glowing properties are not provided by the manufacturer.

In this study, the structural and optical properties of commercially available powder-type dye pigments with different colors were investigated. In spectral analyses performed by providing five different colors, according to Xrd results, all materials have an amorphous structure. It was also observed that they had an average particle size of 5–10 um in diameter and could be found together in agglomerated form. It was concluded that materials highly affected by humidity were agglomerated owing to humidity in the environment. It was also stated that they showed PL results with a high contrast ratio, which was quite specific for each color. It was observed that the blue material had a complex PL shape. Especially, dominant peaks appeared at 457 nm, 677 nm, and 774 nm. Apart from this, other materials also showed glowing curves at the expected wavelengths (pink: 613 nm, yellow: 534 nm, purple: 641 nm, and green: 513 nm). Almost all the materials contained the elemental elements S, N, and O, while in some materials, Cl was observed as an elemental element.
