<p>The objective of this research was to analyze <i>Capsicum annuum</i> solvent extracts and dry powder. For this capsicum was subjected to proximate analysis including moisture, ash, crude fat, fiber, protein and carbohydrate content. Minerals such as K, Ca, Na and Zn were found in appreciable amounts. For anti-oxidative and anti-cancerous potential capsicum extracts (aqueous, methanol and ethanol) were subjected to FRAP and DPPH as well as phytochemical analysis such as total phenolic content (TPC) and total flavonoid content (TFC). <i>Capsicum annuum</i> structure and functional groups were determined by using FTIR and concluded carboxylic acids, alcohols, alkane, alkene, inorganic phosphates, esters, amines and ketones as main functional groups in aqueous, methanolic, ethanolic extracts and raw powder. GCMS analysis revealed that Erucic (37.21&#xa0;mg/g) and Palmitoleic acid (24.91&#xa0;mg/g) were found in considerable amounts. The ethanol extract of capsicum was characterized for quantification of capsaicinoids namely capsaicin (19.66 ± 0.53&#xa0;mg/kg).</p>
